Last night the group were offered the chance to do a short ride in the morning. There was a unanimous decision - it's a rest day today!
We were dropped off at the cycle expo at 9am. There is 1km of shopping stalls, this could take all day! (Maybe not entirely a rest day!)
First we collect our race chips, but note this is a timed ride, not a race!!
I find that there are one of two bits and pieces worth purchasing!
I try to be helpful whilst Stuart is away and attach both the race chips to our bikes. I realise shortly after I have attached them that I have got them the wrong way round. Hope this isn't too much of an issue.
In the evening we head for our meal at a lovely harbour side cafe, with a great view of table mountain.
We receive an email from the ride organisers with a weather warning. This does not bode well!
Nerves are definitely starting to kick in now, although Stuart and Tom still seem quite relaxed!
